CommonGround, to be held March 24-26, 2010, is the annual New York State arts-in-education conference that brings over 150 administrators, teachers, teaching artists, and community members together for three days of policy setting, planning, exchange of skills and inspirational speakers. This gathering contributes to fresh curriculum design, school reform and new models for classroom learning.
This year the NYS Alliance for Arts Education will be serving as the lead organizer of the conference, working in collaboration with the Empire State Partnerships, Capital Region BOCES, the NYS Department of Education, the BOCES Arts in Education Network, and the Association of Teaching Artists.
